Why do we have to order next year’s jackets before this season even finishes?
It does seem silly to be thinking about winter 2024-2025 when we’ve hardly had any snow this year yet, but in the world of apparel and worldwide manufacturing, this is the state of affairs. The items we are ordering come from Helly-Hansen’s Race & Resort collections, not their retail line. These are not sold to the general public and therefore not stocked for retail sale. H-H manufactures these items on a made-to-order basis, so with very few exceptions they will only produce exactly what is ordered by race teams and resorts for the upcoming season. Owing to lead time, overseas production, shipping, and domestic embellishment they need to know 6-8 months in advance what we will need by November of this year.
Do I have to be a Foundation member in order to purchase apparel?
No. Purchasing of race apparel and other spirit wear is not limited to Jack Frost Racing Foundation members only. However, Foundation members do get a 20% discount on their purchase. If you paid your dues for 2024-2025 and did not get a login to access the discounted prices, please contact us.
Will there be any items (jackets, pants, etc.) available at the start of next season for new families or those who don’t pre-order?
Maybe. The Foundation takes on the financial risk of ordering a few select items in more popular sizes to accommodate new families and those who wish to exchange sizes, but those “extras” are normally in standard items and colors (insulated jackets and black pants rather than camo, blue or green), and tend to be snapped up quickly. Your best bet to ensure you get what you want is to order before the pre-season deadline (January 29th, 2024). We will not order any extras in parent favorites, such as flannels and vests, so if you want them for next season, you need to order them now!
Help! My child had a growth spurt over the summer and now the item I ordered doesn’t fit anymore. Can I return or exchange it?
Again, maybe. All sales are considered final once we submit our order to Helly-Hansen. In certain rare situations we may be able to return an undecorated item to H-H before it gets embellished, but once it’s been decorated and sent to us, the best we can do is try to exchange like items for different sizes from our inventory, or offer it up to the other families on the team on your behalf.
Help! I had too much wine/beer/whiskey one night and went on a spending spree. My spouse is now making me sleep on the couch and I’ve had to get a side hustle driving for Amazon to pay for my purchases. Can I cancel part or all of my order?
